emigrantes.ankaa.dev is the official website of the exhibition “Emigrantes Invisibles. Españoles en EE.UU. (1868–1945)”, which commemorates and highlights the presence of Spaniards in the United States during that period (the “Exhibition”).

emigrantes.ankaa.dev is owned by Fundación Consejo España–Estados Unidos, Tax ID (CIF) G-81737736, registered office at Serrano Galvache 26, 28033 Madrid (Spain) (the “Foundation”).

The Fundación Consejo España–EE.UU. is a non-profit organization created in 1997 to foster ties between Spanish and U.S. society and institutions.

The website emigrantes.ankaa.dev offers the possibility to purchase the official exhibition catalog. All proceeds from catalog sales support the project linked to the Exhibition.

Scope of Application

These general terms govern the commercial relationship established between you and the Foundation when you place an order, use the services, or purchase/request products or services offered on the website hosted under the domain emigrantes.ankaa.dev. Any purchase made outside this domain is not binding on the Foundation.

Acceptance and Term

Confirming an order implies acceptance of these terms, which—absent any specific conditions—govern the relationship between the buyer and the Foundation.

By accepting the contract, you declare that:

You have legal capacity to contract under applicable Spanish law; and
You have read and expressly accept each of these General Terms and Conditions.

These clauses take effect from the moment the contract is perfected, pursuant to Law 34/2002. The Foundation reserves the right to amend these Terms unilaterally; such amendments will not affect goods or services purchased prior to the change.

Intellectual Property

The Foundation owns all rights to the content, design, and source code of emigrantes.ankaa.dev, including photographs, images, text, logos, designs, trademarks, trade names, and data.

Any reproduction (full or partial), adaptation, modification, distribution, public communication, or other use that infringes Spanish and/or international intellectual or industrial property law is strictly prohibited without the Foundation’s prior written consent.

Use of the Service and Liability

The Foundation accepts no liability arising from use of the website, including (without limitation):

Users’ use of materials on this site or linked sites—whether permitted or prohibited—where such use infringes intellectual and/or industrial property rights of the site or third parties;
Any damage to users caused by normal or abnormal operation of search tools, content organization or localization, and/or access to the site, and in general any errors or issues in the development or implementation of technical elements provided to the user;
The content of pages users access via links on the site, whether such links are authorized or not;
Acts or omissions of third parties, whether or not such third parties are contractually linked to the Foundation;
Communications or dialogues during debates, forums, chats, or virtual communities organized on or around the site or linked sites, and any resulting damage to registered users or visitors;
Errors or delays in user access when entering data in the order form, delays or failures in receipt of order confirmations, or any anomalies caused by internet network issues, force majeure, or other unforeseeable events beyond the Foundation’s good-faith control;
Failures or incidents in communications, incomplete transmissions, or lack of continuous service availability;
Errors or damage caused by inefficient or bad-faith use of the service by the user;
Non-operability or issues with the email address provided by the user to receive the order confirmation.

Severability

If any clause of these terms is declared wholly or partially null or unenforceable, such nullity or unenforceability shall affect only that provision or the relevant part, and the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Any disputes relating to www.emigrantes.ankaa.dev are governed exclusively by Spanish law, with the Courts of Madrid having sole jurisdiction. Every user of the site, regardless of their territorial jurisdiction, accepts this clause and expressly waives any other forum that might correspond to them.

Purchase Process

Once you locate the item(s) you wish to buy, click “Add to cart.” Enter the requested information and click BACK to correct any data or CONFIRM to proceed.

For all payment methods, you must provide the NIF (tax ID) of the person making the payment.

Payment Methods

Credit/debit card: Processed through REDSYS secure e-commerce gateway (Banco Santander). All data are entered and processed securely; the Foundation does not access your card details.
PayPal: Choosing PayPal means the buyer must meet PayPal’s user requirements (see www.paypal.es).

The Foundation is responsible for transactions carried out on www.emigrantes.ankaa.dev. All e-commerce transactions use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to safeguard transmitted data.

Order Confirmation

All products shown on www.emigrantes.ankaa.dev are available. After completing your purchase, you will receive an email with your order details. If you do not receive this email within 2 hours, please contact gestion@emigrantes.ankaa.dev. If you find any error or discrepancy in the confirmation (price, delivery, payment method), notify gestion@emigrantes.ankaa.dev.

Product Prices

All prices on the website are in euros (€) and include VAT and any other applicable taxes.

Shipping Costs

You will be informed of shipping costs before completing your purchase. Costs depend on destination and the shipment’s volume, weight, and number of items.

Shipments of 3 or more copies to Mainland Spain, Balearic Islands, and the EU: UPS.
Shipments to the Canary Islands: Correos.
Shipments to the USA: UPS.

Delivery Terms

Orders are dispatched within 24–48 business hours from receipt. Orders received after 13:00 (1 p.m.) are processed the next business day. Domestic and European shipments of up to 2 copies are sent via Correos; larger volumes ship via Correos or courier. Shipments to the United States are sent by courier.

Estimated delivery times (approximate, may vary by destination):

Mainland Spain: 1–3 days
Balearic/Canary Islands, Ceuta & Melilla: 3–5 days
United States: 5–7 days
Europe: 7–10 days

The Foundation is not responsible for meeting delivery deadlines, as they depend on the carrier.

Cancellation and Returns

The Foundation reserves the right to cancel orders placed due to typographical or arithmetic errors, or where the shipping address is imprecise and may hinder delivery.

Order cancellation (pre-dispatch): You may cancel an order that has not yet been shipped by emailing gestion@emigrantes.ankaa.dev with your order number. Once dispatched, cancellations cannot be accepted.
Right of withdrawal: You have 15 calendar days from receipt to return purchased products. Items must be in perfect condition, unused, and with any inner seal unbroken (beyond verifying their condition), and returned in the original packaging with all components. Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer.
Damaged/defective items: You may choose replacement or a full refund.
