Tampa Bay History Center
After a successful five-year tour of Spain, the Tampa Bay History Center has become the first institution in the United States to host Invisible Immigrants: Spaniards in the US (1868-1945), the first exhibition dedicated to shedding light on this hitherto little-known diaspora.
Through more than 300 photographs, personal items, and mementos carefully preserved by their descendants, the exhibition rescues the history of these immigrants from oblivion.
In this new phase, the exhibition incorporates unpublished elements, including an interactive map that guides visitors through the most emblematic places of the Spanish presence in Tampa. Some are still in full swing, while others remain silent witnesses to a vibrant history.
